Beware Iphone Users Apple to Permanently Delete Photos in July

Apple has announced a major change to the photos feature for iPhone users, as reported by the NY Post. The My Photo Stream album, which automatically stores pictures taken in the last 30 days, will be permanently retired next month.

As of June 26, My Photo Stream has stopped uploading pictures, and on July 26, all media in the album will be permanently deleted. However, users can still find their pictures on iCloud for 30 days from the date they were uploaded, as long as My Photo Stream is enabled on their devices

To prevent your pictures from being lost, follow these steps:

Open the My Photo Stream album in your camera roll.

Save your pictures either to your device or to iCloud.

According to Apple’s support page, the photos in My Photo Stream are already stored on at least one of your devices. As long as you have the device with your original photos, you won’t lose any pictures during this process.

If you want to keep a photo that is not in your library on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you need to save it to your library on that specific device. However, if you use iCloud, there is no need to worry, as your photos will be safely stored there..
